I was wondering what the average battery life is for the Mada. I live in Cali and recently noticed that the takes an extra second to turn over. My Mada has been sitting for awhile now due to gas prices but is usually driven maybe 3 mile a week just to pick up the kids from school. It's the OEM battery and I've had it about 2.5 yrs now and close to 30K.
has anybody here has this problem after the jump start. my mada start on but i have problems in my low headlight it wont turn on, high beam is ok and fog light too. i think the fuse is open. i call the dealer how much they charge me for changing the fuse. the dealer ask me $93. im wondering i better go to a local shop and have them install it. i got scr diagram but im afraid to pull the box, its tight. any suggestion .... help....
My 04 is running 4 yrs and 4 months on the original battery - 60K miles. It's just now starting to show signs of sluggishness however being 5 degrees outside doesn't help.
wewww i went to the dealer and they check it and they found out that the two silverstar ultra broke. they replace it under warranty. and they check also my battery this said its bad, it did not pass the test. so i just let them replace it, its winter time so i'll not be worry for it. im just wondering why the two bulb broke at the same time. what is the lifespam of the silverstar ultra?
Silverstars will only last a year or so, save your reciepts. If you call Them and complain they usually will send replacements. I just found this out last week when my daughter's fiance had one go out that was only in his car for about 8 months, he said he called and them him all new bulbs not just the burned out one. I've had the ultras in my Armada for about a year so I too am waiting.
i dont know where i place the reciepts. its just 6 month or less it just broke on me. it surpraise me because i thought its the fuse. thanks 9balllrook, this ultras i bought im gonna keep the reciept in case the bulb broke again.
Mine is dying now: I had to charge it from 120V charger couple of times already (it is exactly 5 years old). Going to Costco now to buy some new one that would fit.
Some time ago, a battery in Nissan Sentra SE-R lasted exactly 3+ years, guys on service were laughing: warranty expired just recently.
This is a good battery thread. I am reporting that the battery on my Armada 2004 is showing signs of dying. Hey, it's been 7 hard winters in MN, so I loved how the original battery performed. Looking for a battery now - any good advice?
From this thread I see that some got Optima RedTop 34R in 2008. How did it perform since? Any reports on Cosco batteries for Armada?
I am thinking about Jumstarter as well - something like this:
Our '04 Armada still has the original factory battery. 88k miles. We just bought the Armada 4 months ago. I'm getting a new battery within the next 2 months before the fall/winter. I'm not taking any chances, especially since it is the wife's car.
Ours was just replaced 3 weeks ago. Only 44K on an 08 model so it is only 3.5 years old. The death was likely accelerated when the kids left the overhead light on overnight. After that, it would not keep a charge so I got a new battery from Autozone. Interestingly, the store directed me away from the Optima and towards a different, cheaper battery. So far so good....
After some research, I purchased the original NISSAN OEM battery from the dealership. My 7-old still battery works fine for now, but I am afraid I have to replace it by winter. The cost is $110 + tax.
