My left side radio control "cover" has all the signs of 9 years of finger wear. Does Nissan or anyone else have a replacement cover I could buy and replace the old one. Right side cover looks fine. Could it be that the cover and control are one inseparable unit, like the attached image I found on eBay?
Tried to edit the subject - should have been "covers", not "switches"
I had similar issue. I rubbed out all the color with nail polish remover and it looks shiny black now. I don't even feel it was different color in the past. It will wipe off all the letters too.
Numbay, that nail polish remover item would be fine on the left side, but my right side looks fine. Anyone used spray paint to match them up? Such an assinine thing to have the cover and the control as one unit. I saw the same sites posted as well. Yeah, what a rip off! Maybe there are some trashed Armadas here or on fleabay where the owners don't want to gouge me for just the left side control unit.
Bet Nissan parts places could make some good money providing the spray paint and decals to pretty them up.
I had this same issue on my 2005, the price on the controller covers was like 80 each so I broke down and splurged on a new steering wheel. Not cheap at just under $400 but I am doing a full refresh and my wheel itself was shot, black stuff rubs off in my hands each time i drive it.
