That dude is a dumb a$$, some one paying him to say some dumb stuff, apparently he didn't do a same day comparison with the other SUV in the same class. The others dont even match the towing capacity, you get more for your buck, neither change body style for years but we are due for one anytime now, gas mileage maybe one or two mpg off, more interior room, nice and comfy. Oh what the hell i love my rig and that dude not gonna make me feel or thing different, so he can bite me with his opinion he is entitle to that much. lol
Dusty, Amen I feel the same. I rented a 2014 Dodge truck with the hemi 4x4 a few weeks back , Its Bad arse nice. runs out good, But when my wife left me in her Armada wondering what the Heck happened on a 1/2 mile stretch I new I had bought her a Hot rod she's not scared to drive..
I cant wait for the new models to come out, but I'll wait a couple of years before i get one, let them figure out all the little headache that comes with every new model.
That's four minutes of my life I'd like back. The comment "sluggish acceleration off the line" shows this "journalist" has no clue how the Armada stacks up in the class. His comment inferring that the 20 inch rims are too small is also ridiculous when discussing a family oriented vehicle. Then he say "wood trim doesn't hold up very well." Based on what objective evidence?
Then he recommends the new GM suvs, you know, the ones that have been subject to several recalls lately, that are still slower than the Armada?
I'm all for a guy trying to make a living, but come on. That is a worthless review. Hopefully anybody who stumbles across that crap does their own research instead of relying on the information in the video.
Yep he is fore sure Bias or against Nissan, I don't think The Armada has ever gotten a fare shake in the Markets much, This vid proves how Dumb some of these fruit loops are. Amazing how the Sequia gets good reviews and Drinks as much or more gas, From what I've seen the Armada hangs with it pretty good to. I do know the Armada's are respected out on the roads and in the real world, There not Cheap Suv's and the QX is even more expensive. I get compliments all the time, and a lot of people just want to check out the SUV. Before they walk away its always said Dang that's a nice looking SUV.
I'm glad I didn't look at the vid. From the beginning when I got mine, I looked at the reviews and I was glad I looked at the reviews afterward. If I had seen them before, I probably wouldn't have bought it. I don't give any of them much cred now. They are self serving, not at all objective.
I wanna start by saying, if the Armada was to 'outdated' or 'not a big contender, and never was in the full size SUV class' then why wouldn't Nissan pull the plug on it? That is what car companies do when models don't sell well, right? It's been here for 10 years now, it's held up well against the competition and still does. Second, sluggish off the line? Armada's are no slouch when it comes to power, the 5.6's have been tested to propel Armadas to 60mph in less than 7 seconds. For something this heavy that isn't slow or sluggish by any means. Third, why complain about fuel economy with this vehicle? Or any vehicle in its class. That's not the reason you buy these trucks. Not to mention a 5.7 Sequoia with a 6 speed auto only averages about 14-15mpg. Is that really a difference? Lastly, do not EVER compare this truck to a GM product. This angers me, sure they may have the latest and greatest technology but the 5.6 and the Armada platform is tried and true, and no GM SUV compares. Sorry to go on a bit of a rant but this video angered me.
The only thing I would agree with him on is that the interior is dated. They haven't changed anything from what I can see since 2008. Why shell out the money for a 2014 when you can get a used 2008 that looks the same for less than half the price.
