I just bought my armada se 2006 last year and I love it!
About a month ago my engine light turn on and I took it to a local shop here in town they checked the code and it seems to be a cracked header on the passenger side. I been reading the forum and it seems to be a very common issue with this SUV's.
I would like to go aftermarket on the headers and would like to get an input from the people on this forum that had this taken care off.
Well I am def going to get new ones instead of weld the old ones. How hard were they to get out?? Whats the best way to get to them? Sorry I just wanna be sure what I need before I replace mine.
Your gonna have to take out the Tire, the covers and lossen up the motor mounts. After you do all of that go ahead and lift up your engine just enough for you to take out your manifolds.
I so wish my manifolds would just crack in the next 10000 miles, before my warranty runs out at 100k! Every time I'm at the dealer, I ask them to check, but they say they are fine. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones.
