Well I saved a lot of money by doing it myself but it was still a bit of work (tight spot and not much room for the booster swap. Nissan wanted $800 to replace my booster that's been giving me troubles with the scary brake behavior. Over all not too bad. There is a bit of an improvement with the SS braided lines as well. But my next plan is a set of 4 pot performance calipers up front with a 14" or 15" rotor setup. I know it will cost a bit but we plan to keep this ride for a while!
If I get some time I might make a write up for the booster swap. Not a whole lot of tools needed. If one decides to do it...get some flare nut wrenches.
Tools I used:
10mm socket
13mm Deep socket
13mm regular socket
10mm Flare nut wrench
12mm Flare nut wrench
pliers (both needle nose and regular)
flash light for under the dash
Hi bsljacques, hows the booster still holding up? did you have to get a reflash at the dealer afterwards? Getting ready to work on the same deal with my armada, but wanting to know where you got your booster from as well.
It is doing great! No I did not get a reflash....just installed the new booster from Autozone and life has been great! No more scary brakes/lights on the dash. Very happy with the project!
