Hey everyone. I just stared to have kind of the same problem. On my 04 armada the oil pressure gauge is fine when car is idle but goes up as I gas it. It doesnt matter if Im driving or parked.

So I found this thread and read it carefully. I have few insights.

I think we all (including me) got confuse between a oil pressure sending unit (the one frozen mada was talking about) with the oil pressure sensor.

This is how I figure this out. The link SCR38 gave us for courtesypart you type the part number Frozen Mada gave us and it does exist (current price just under $20).

so might be worth it try to replace that part first and see if that fixes the problem.

Now any one know how to find that part in the mada???? LOL

The engine oil pressure sensor is part # 25070-TA60001, about $68.00.
Part # 26240-TA60003 is the line pressure sensor for the transmission, not the engine. That part is about $15.00.

On this you need to make sure you get the one for gauge or with light. My 05 has a gauge not light! That is the difference in price the w/light is cheap the w/gauge is pricey.

Weird. My Oil Pressure Sensor Sender Switch failed the day I picked up my 04 from my mechanic in March. The 04 had several oil leaks haunting my driveway. My mechanic successfully repaired them all. Took the 04 in yesterday for an oil change at Walmart. They refused to change it when their tech noticed the HI pressure indication. Looks as if I am in the market for a new Oil Pressure Sensor Sender Switch. Below are some links I have found after reading this thread.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-25070-CD...-/251884066252 US $16.50

Hello all,

I had the same symptoms as above, oil P gauge would go to the max when any throttle was applied. 2005 Armada.
I ordered this part https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DCECYE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for $55.66

You will need a 15/16 wrench and a bucket for the coolant, there was a hose in the way. I could have clamped it but I had the new coolant and needed to replace it anyways. I replaced the oil and the filter at the same time so there was no filter in the way possibly allowing more knuckle space.

A pleasant surprise after the oil was added....... Gauge pointing up. Yay
