I wanted more up-to-date auto reliability information that included actual repair rates. So in late 2005 I started getting people together to make this possible. TrueDelta now reports absolute repair rates that make the differences between cars much clearer. Results are updated four times a year, so it's possible to track cars closely as they age.
So far 35 Armada and 18 QX56 owners have signed up. A start, but more are needed to include these models in the survey.
Participants simply report repairs the month after they occur on a one-page survey. When there are no repairs, they simply report an approximate odometer reading four times a year, at the end of each quarter.
To encourage participation, participants receive full access to all results, not just those for the Armada and QX56, free of charge.
I'd very much like to cover every year. We included the 2005 in the survey because enough owners signed up, but not enough have been responding to provide a stat. A few more would do it.
Hey, members of ClubArmada. Please sign up for this and contribute your experiences. This site, unlike others (can you say Consumer Reports??), is much more representative of the people who own and drive these vehicles, thus is much less biased. I have all of my vehicles registered on this site, and would like to start seeing information regarding the Armada as well as for my other cars. It won't happen unless more Armada owners sign up and start contributing.
