Long tube headers are a much better option, but they delete the cats so you usually need a custom tune (thats the uprev part) to correct the AFR's and get her running right, plus it really makes a difference bringing her to life. And if you're doing all that you might as well upgrade the whimpy OEM B-pipes as well

Your other option for b-pipes is PRT. its truly better all the way around to upgrade from OEM manifolds to headers. Cheaper, better quality, more performance...

For the record....

...I have an '05 that I bought from Nissan Financial Services (bought a guy out of his lease, since he was moving to London, $48k truck for $32k!!!) in '06 with 11k miles on it. I had the ticking sound in '07 and the headers were replaced in '07. I haven't had the issue since. I now have 120k on the truck.

Most reliable, best quality vehicle I've ever owned.

Current rides:
'05 Nissan Armada LE 4x4 - Blizzard
Mods: Burtman spoiler installed (Dec '06), stainless rock (okay, bug) deflector, 22" MSW wheels

There are a lot cheaper and better options out there. No way would I replace the manifolds with OEM unless Nissan is paying for it as they will crack again.
