Todd, that's a mean looking armada! How are you liking your lift?
Thanks for the compliments!
This was only possible because of the PRG Armada Rear Lift.
And I love it!
But here is the deal with those 17 inch wheels.
We already know that 17” will
not fit 2008-and-up Titans/Armadas.
The Front disc brakes/calipers are too big.
Yes, I was only able to get 17” wheels on my 2010 Armada.
However,
ONLY because they are ( at-least ) Zero Offset,
and they are Aluminum.
But check this out:
The 17”, Zero-offset,
STEEL Soft-8 clones from Black Rock had to be returned.
They would not even install. Seemed to be because of how the steel is folded/stamped together.
It banged against the front-face of the Front Calipers.
And more 17” problems:
Although my Aluminum 17” wheels were able to install ( because of the Zero-offset ),
The clearance was too close.
Spinning the front wheels ripped the new internal-balance-weights right off.
(the sticky tape type weights).
So, the balance technician had to start over, and re-balance the front wheels with the old-style CLIP-WEIGHTS!.
Now whenever I rotate tires, the front wheels will always require CLIP-WEIGHTS!
( at least they are on the Inside )
Look, I took a risk on the 17s.
But if I had to do it all again, I would just buy the freaking 18” wheels.
But I tried to beat the system, because I think big tires are much cheaper for 17” selections.
Go figure.
