Radio loses treble on occasion

My radio loses treble and gets muffled sometimes. It only does it in radio mode and the other functions (DVD,CD,AUX) sound fine. Anybody else have a similar problem?

Yes I have a 2008 Armada and when on FM radio mode it plays for 30- 60 seconds and the the station fades out. Once you turn the radio off and on it will assume play for another 30-60 seconds...only to have to repeat the process.

yeah mine still does it...I'm actually used to it so I don't even notice anymore. I think the tuner inside the receiver is defective.

It sounds to me that the amplifier feeding the tweeters mat be failing. I don't know your system but if you have amplifiers for the seperate sounds such as tweeters, midrange and woofer, one of the channels may be going bad.

Hmm maybe so....but i think if that was the case then the sound would fade in any audio input. Mine only does it in tuner mode.

Early on there was a TSB out that was to supposed fix this. It sounded like the radio was switching between stereo and mono. Mine did the same. I took it in under warranty to have replaced but it never seem to have fixed it.
