KYB shocks/struts?

I'm shopping for suspension replacements.
Has anyone tried KYB shocks/struts?
For $280.30 shipped (w/ coupon code: goog5), I can't complain about the price, but I don't see anyone with them on the forum.
Am I missing something?

Here's the link: http://www.justsuspension.com/kyb?ye...utmk=129324431

Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

Garage
I put them on wife's Murano, they seemed ok, just a regular gas shock. It rode like stock except I didn't need to worry about them blowing out as soon as the junky Nissan ones often do.

I thought I should post up some feedback on my KYB install.. I put them on front and rear, and they have lowered my mada by at least 2 inches.. I was like WTH.. And the ride quality is probably a bit worse than when it was new with stock shocks, especially in the rear since I had stock air shocks and now it is just regualr shocks.. I actually like the stance a bit better, but the ride quality is disappointing.

Sorry to hear that. I have always thought of KYB to be very good shocks. I have had KYB AGX shocks on my Celica for 6 years and they have been great.

It is a simple question - "why is my ride so bad?". However, the answer to your problem requires quite a bit of troubleshooting. You have swapped out both the front and rear shocks for KYB shocks. You have lost height. Have you lost height in both the front and the rear? If you have lost height only in the rear, then you probably need stiffer springs and/or Firestone air bag helpers. I believe someone used KYB shocks on their front end and they were pretty happy with it.

He lost height because it's an LE so he swapped out the OEM Air Shocks for KYB. I lost more height than that when I changed mine out, it's just part of the deal. As for KYB, back when I searched the internet they seemed to be hit or miss depending on the vehicle.

There's your expert answer. It doesn't get any detailed than that

Do the bilstein HDs lower ride height in the front or keep it stock?
