Traffic ticket?

Ok, so my wife just let me know a cop just got done pulling her over.

He said she didn't come to a complete stop and gave her a $68 ticket.

she says she did come to a stop. Anyone successful in contesting tragic tickets?

Tips? Suggestions?

I don't know how it is in your area, but, down here any minor offense like that, you always show up to contest it in court. Most of the time the Officer won't show up and the court will dismiss. It's just not important enough for a busy cop to show up in court.

But, if the cop does show up, it becomes a "he said / I said" argument, and I can guarantee who will win that one.....Not you!!

Here in California, we can go to traffic school for a day to get traffic tickets excused, so long as you haven't had one in a while (think it is the past 18 months). If you have that, might consider taking advantage of it. Also, be happy it's only $68. Running a stop sign here will set you back around $300.:eek:

If you don't contest it then she's already lost. Either she did it or she didn't, I wouldn't let a false accusation stick w/o trying my best to prove it.

I tried flirting with a lady cop once. It definitely doesn't work the other way around, or at least not for me! haha.
