Talking Had to do it Mada is on Vacation

Finally had to bite the bullet and went out and bought me a little 4 cyl Volvo- Don't get me wrong I LOVE my Mada but she was a gas-a-holic was drinking me out of house and home so she gets a nice cozy lazy life in the garage and this little Volvo gets all the little trips around town- I am a Realtor and it was not fun showing houses in the Armada My clients loved it tried to add the Armada to the offers(We will buy the house but only if the Armada is included) but the GAS bill-holy moly- I know one of you bought a mini cooper last year so I am not alone the armada gets car pool every morning I carry 5 and long trips and towing the trailer that is it lets see if the Volvo will be able to handle my hectic daily life how many are choosing this scenario also?

I just bought a 1971 mustang which gets worse mileage than my Mada and needs premium gas. So I'm really happy with Armada and the gas mileage it gets, but that's just me :-)

Good luck on the Volvo!

I dont drive tha armada on a daily as it is my wifes car, but my g35 gets 24 mpg so not great. I have thought about a new car for mpg, but it would take years to see a savings. So I drive my g35 and the wife drives the armada. Our monthly gas budget is probable around $500, including our kids car.

I have a newer G37xS and don't see the great mileage that I got from my old TSX. But then again the TSX didn't have 330 HP and 0-60's in the low 5's. Vehicles fit a niche. The Armada/QX can take 8 passengers anywhere in great comfort. I can't do that in my G or Miata. The uber mileage of a Prius is of no interest to me. Everything has compromises that you have to accept. Most importantly- the wife loves her QX!

I just bought me a 2001 Honda Civic about 9 months ago off of Craigslist for a really good deal. My Armada use to be my daily driver to work and back, now I just use it on the weekends with the family. Right now saving a whole lot of gas for weekend trips!

I just picked up a 2011 Dodge Avenger Lux to offset the mileage from the Armada... Armada used to be our only vehicle, now I get the dodge to drive to work and that we use to run errands unless whole family is coming. We would have LOVED to pick up a g37x and would have made the mileage work for us. haha.

Trust me- I'm not complaining
Nor am I busting anybody's chops. I do miss the easy 29-34 MPG I got from the TSX but I love the snarl of the VQ and the performance I get. Life is full of compromises...although I'm still trying to pinpoint a compromise in a Tesla S. I'm not seeing any yet
