2013 Pathfinder...Hottest Selling Car??

Wow! I was almost considering getting the redesigned pathfinder but the body style just didn't jive with me. Decided to get the mada.

People on the Murano forum say the new Pathfinder is just an extension of the Murano. I am inclined to believe that. NIssan built it on the same platform as the Infiniti XJ. I too was tempted in buying one. But the fully loaded ones with the 360 bird's eye-view are pretty pricey! So, because it does not offer a lot of room, I decided to go with the Armada.

I was thinkin the same about the looks of an extended Murano. I used to have a -05 Murano and really like them.

I agree. The room was a big turn off. They say the 3rd row can sit adults but the only way you can sit adults comfortably in the 3rd row is only in a full-size SUV like the mada.

This is a Pathfinder:

Yes, I'm a little biased and slightly upset Nissan used the Pathfinder name on that corssover.

I totally agree with you.

In my search for a SUV, I truly came close to making some mistakes. My first choice was always the 2011 to 2013 FX35 and I was truly aiming for the FX45. But when I sat in the second row seat and realized an adult would be cramped in there, I dropped the idea. And I was going to go trade in my Maxima for it. Glad I didn't.

Then I went for the Armada and was attracted by the 360 bird's eye view and the third row seating with 4X4. But when I started looking at previous Pathfinders, I realized the new Pathfinder is not really going to be fun for me and do what I am hoping a SUV would do for me. And I was also going to trade in my Maxima.

So, I stumbled across this my Marda on autotrader.com. 4 hours away and for the price and mileage, I knew I did not need to trade in my Maxima. So, I went for it since I know these big trucks in properly taken care off, will last 250,000 miles and more.

I hate what they have done to the Pathfinder. They should call the new Pathfinder a Extended Murano.

Pathfinders have never been particularly roomy inside. The Armada makes much, much better use of space.

I'd been wondering for years what would replace the R51, and I was jaw-droppingly disappointed.

There's no longer an apparent lineage to it's past - and the new Pathfinder just looks like most of the other comparably sized, rounded-off crossover SUV's out there.
Having said that, I'm not a huge fan of the new 4Runner boxy shape either, but it is more distinctive, and to me the 4Runner comes across as being much more rugged, durable, and capable of leaving the road...

Across the board, designers for North America are jumping off the same cliff into the same popular swimming hole.
