I am saving for a Pathfinder!

I love pathfinders so much! I can't wait to get one -- oh and hello all, I am not to much into the "introduction forum" so I will just say hi here.

best wishes and good luck. You can lease now for 299.00 sign and drive, if leasing is what interests you.

Thanks in advance,

I went shopping for a Pathfinder and came home with my Armada! There was a $2k price differnce between the '06 pathy I wanted and a similar '05 mada.

When you get it, you'll love it! Really love mine. Didn't think I'd ever use the 3rd row seats and now I have. It's nice when you have a vehicle where everyone can fit and not need a carvan of cars to go to the same destination.

You'll want to use 91 octane as I found out. It will decrease power significantly when using 87. 91 is recommended but 87 can be used. I'd say 20 Hp difference since most say 10 Hp can't be felt.

I now have a camper that weighs ~2700 lbs with a 300 lbs tongue weight, and the Pathy pulls effortlessly @70 mph. Just get electric brakes on the trailer and the Pathy won't have any trouble stopping. Anything at or over 425 lbs with tongue weight really should have a weight distribution hitch due to the weight causing significant sag. Nissan rates the Pathy at 600 lbs tongue weight with standard ball mount but it really can't without standing up.

The VDC in conjuction with the Part Time 4WD is just absolutely awesome for snow covered surfaces just don't forget to turn VDC off in deep snow because it'll cut throttle you'll need to wheel through the thick stuff. Even states to turn it off in the manual for mud or deep snow.

While the Off Road option is nice, I'd rather control descents myself and didn't find the Rancho shocks all that great on the old Off Road Titan. They have a lot of bounce that makes the truck unstable at higher speed when the roads are less than perfect. While the SE suspension is stiffer providing more shock or road feel, it controls much better and still sucks up the really rough terrains without bad shock. I threw some skid plates on and am ready for anything. When the tires wear out, I'll be putting on Bridgestone Dueler AT Revos as I did on the Xterra. These long trails work a bit better on the Pathy than they did on my older Xterra, but they are no Dueler AT Revo. I disliked the Rugged Trails even more than the Long trails. Not real off road tires but just another all weather.

Well just sharing some of my experiences and opinions to help you decide on the model now that you'll be saving for one.

Have a good one.

I actually bought a Pathfinder and the next day i took it back and bought a mada. The patfinder was claustrophobic. I am only 6ft but i felt cramped up in it. Even though it was fully loaded, i like my SE even more
