Unhappy Help!1997 Pathfinder Starting Issue

Hello everybody,

I have an old Nissan 1997 Pathfinder. It runs great, it doesn't stop on me not matter how far I drive it, but as soon as I stop and turn it off. I can't start it right back up.

Example: If I drive to a store and I parked then turn off, realized I parked in a wrong spot??? Try to start it back, NO CRANK, Wait 2minutes, start it, CRANK Started.

I am assuming if it get hot or warm up, it will not crank unless I wait 2 minutes.

I have a new battery. What is it that is preventing it from starting right back? what is it that requires 2mins to cool down b4 cranking? pls help.

Does it make any noise during those 2 minutes when you try to start it? Like clicking?

It does make a single click sound. sounds like..... click sound. as if the battery is completely dead. But the battery is good

Sounds like starter is going bad then. Assuming all your battery terminals are nice and secure.

To test is to take it out. I am not familiar with your pathfinder so I can't tell you how or where it is located. Your best bet is to Google where its at. Not sure how mechanically incline you are but it's not a beginner job. And see if there is a pathfinder/xterra forum and ask those guys also.

Took the starter out, took it to autozone for a test, it tested Good. Looking almost brand new.

They told me to look for a main relay. The starter Main relay I guess.. I have been looking and I can't find it anywhere. I check both hood relay/fuse box
