Rotary wagon

My friend found a 1973 Mazda Rotary Wagon last summer in Texas, it was in great shape, no body damage, very little rust in some spots. It has the original 12A motor, which is being swapped out for a 13B with a single turbo from the old RX7 turbo II. It was painted the original color, and here it is being buffed Friday morning. The interior, and motor work will start very soon. For now enjoy some pics.

What an awesome car. There are so few of those around now, and they were really something back in the day. When I was in high school, a buddy of mine had a early 70's RX2. That car was a hoot to drive, particularly with the tach up around 8,000!! Would kill me car in a straight line, I drove a Toyota Celica GT.

Yeah, they are hoot to drive, this one needs some massaging to get it back. I love it, I look forward to continuing the work on it.
