Why I don't drive a car or a minivan

I bought this trailer for my boat.
30' long
650lbs on the tounge
have not measured the axles yet.
getting about 9 MPG thus far, which is convenient because that works out to $0.50 per mile, which equals $1.00 per mile round trip.... Havasu is 300 miles away therefore, it is $300 away. hahahah (I try to be an optimist)

Love it! and the Armada loves it also... put 150 miles on her in the last 2 days including everything SoCal could throw at it. Steep hills, bumper to bumper traffic, a couple tight parking lots and some wide open freeways.

That looks sweet Beau! Definitely can't do that with a mini-van.

Thanks guys,
My wife and I drove to a local lake today, launched her, spent the afternoon exploring, then put her back on the trailer and drove home.

I have never launched / retrieved a boat before, so I will never forget this day. It was a piece of cake, the Armada is a great tow vehicle, 2wd pulled it up hill like a tractor, traction control light never came on.

What it the weight of your boat? Looks heavy, but I am sure the Armada handled it fine.

I don't know, but I will take her to the scales soon to find out.
Probably in the neighborhood of 7,500lbs - 8,000 with the trailer.

Thanks man, have hauled many racebikes to the track many many times and I would have to agree with you.
You especially don't feel our mini roadrace bike on the way to Willow Springs Go-Kart track.

Power is the least of your concerns,
The Armada has plenty of horsepower on tap, you are probably used to cruising the highway around 1,600 rpm, with the trailer you need more horsepower, thus higher RPM. Keeping the truck in 4th gear (3rd for a hill and 2nd for a crazy hill) will help you access the power that you need and also significantly help your transmission keep the fluid temperature normal.

Once you get it all hooked up and set up the way you like it, post some pictures and a trip report!
