Plasti Dip Smoke

So, this weekend my brother-in-law and I tried out the plasti dip smoke on my tailights. I did 13 light coats and then 1 heavy coat. The first pic is 1 light coat, the 2nd is the final product and the 3rd pic is of my son's power wheel Escalade sprayed with plasti dip matte white. I'm not too satisfied with the smoked lights. I was really going for a darker shade that's why I did so many coats. Let me know what you guys think.

that escalade looks so baller! why not just use tint on the tails, the dip kind of makes them look hazy

Why would you use plasti dip on your tail lights, plasti dip does not allow light to shine thru. Just use some spray lens tint. You can get it from dupli-color.

If you are not satified, tear it off and do what nyc2005armada suggested. Personally I dont like the haziness as opm1805 said. But I have to say great paint job, everything looks very even.

yeah looks dull, maybe hit it up with some glossifier to shine them up? it would be ok if your car is matte black..maybe. but i would just buy tint that they use for the lights and wrap it.

I wasn't too satisfied with the plasti dip smoke, so I ripped it off and sprayed it with the plasti dip matte black. More satisfied now. I'm not trying to use spray tint and not a big fan of vinyl tints anymore.

So, here are the pics. Did the tails, third brake and rear bumper reflectors. I tried it out on the headlights, but didn't like the look. I want to do something with the headlights, but no ideas yet.
