Oil filter access

I sometimes don't feel like having to remove the front splash guard in order to gain access to the oil filter. Thought I'd share what I did to remedy that.
I'll make the cover out of plastic or aluminum.

Cool. Filled down the edge too, dont want to slip your hand off the oil filter and slices your hands off. ...I just completely removed mine.

Thanks for looking out. I know it doesn't look like it but it's filed to remove the sharp edge. The last thing I'd want to do is cut my hand on that metal.

Yep. That and another member that modded theirs is what gave me the inspiration to do this.

Garage
Whats the downside to just removing the under panel? I've thought about it but hesitant I guess but would definitely save so much time. Also I've discovered that when I completely tighten the panel up it tends to make noise because of vibration when going over bumps because it seems to be clanking against something. I had to loosen one side limit the clanking noise.

I think the panel, if you keep the top part clean, is a good tell-tale that you have a fluid leak. when I drop the panel I always look for drops of fluid. Mine gets a wipe with Simple Green after every oil change.

I've removed the one off of our armada due to the rattling issue. I haven't noticed any adverse effects.
