Fog Light Bulb Replacemet

I have a 2005 Armada LE. How does one go about replacing a burned out fog light bulb and what is the correct bulb to use?

Any recommendations on how to get the old bulb out? A prior post suggested that I remove the connector from the lamp and undo the retaining nut. The unit is supposed to slide out the front.

I think the 2005 unit has some alignment screws that are keeping it from sliding out the front.

I thought once you unplug wire harness you just twist bulb out, no need to slide unit out thru the front, haven't replace mind yet

All you have to do is turn the connector and release it from the housing. Should take no more that 3-5 minutes to replace both fog light bulbs!

Silverstar bulbs are nice and bright for the fogs, calls for 881 which didn't work, 880 worked, different angle.

2005 Armada Fog Light Replacement

Thank you to those who replied.

I had called the closest Nissan Dealer, Boyland of Macomb Township Michigan and spoke to the Service Manager. He told me that I needed to remove the wheel well guard to access the bulb. I told him that I already had my hand on the bulb but wasn't certain on how to remove and replace it. He told me it was too complicated to explain and that I needed to bring the car in for service evaluation. ********"Right" !

I took your advise and removed the connector, turned the bulb slightly and it came right out. The new bulb that fit properly was a Sylvania 899.

It took less than 5 minutes.

Thank you again.
