2017 Armada Rear Spoiler Removal

Good evening-

So this morning my wife pulled out of the garage with the rear liftgate open and took the paint off the plastic spoiler above the rear window that houses the 3rd brake light. It needs to be repainted. I’d like to remove it myself, drop it off at my body shop to get repainted and then I would install it back onto the car. Anybody have any experience removing these? It looks like a few bolts and a wire harness but not sure if there is more than what scratches (pun intended) the surface.

the rear spoiler needs a few things removed before you get to it.

you have to remove the back door trim.
remove the rear spoiler mounting nuts
cut rear spoiler fixing double-sided tape with cutter knife
disengage rear spoiler fixing clips with remover tool, then remove rear spoiler

remove following parts after removing rear spoiler
-high mounted stop lamp
-grommets
-washer nozzle

these instructions are for a second gen qx but the armada second gen should be the same design.

Thanks for the info. I took it to the body shop the next day to get a quote and in 5 minutes it was fixed and I was on my way. They didn’t charge me anything and were very nice about it.
