It Almost Paid For Itself In THe First Month

I bought the warranty at 35600 miles. I have 38000 ish now. The truck just went in for the 35000 service ( kinda pricey ) and while it was in I told them that I heard a valve tap type of sound. turned out that tHe exaust manifold was cracked causing that tapping sound, It went away once it was hot. Warranty covered the whole thing plus put me in a decent rental...... I think it would have cost me 1500 smackers. ( said the service dept ). to the Nissan extended warranty....

The exhaust manifolds are covered under federal emmissions for 8 years or 80000 miles because the cat converter is part of the manifold.

According to the Service Dpet here, they're covered under the 60k mile Powertrain Warranty... I called Consumer Affairs and they explained if the cause of replacement is the manifold, it's 60k powertrain, if the cause is the Cat then it's 80k Emmissions.... Some guys have been lucky to have a S/A enter it as a failed Cat to get covered under the 80k but the guys here won't do that...
