NGK spark plug alternative

I know I have read of a couple of guys using something other than the NGK Iridiums( $30 each up here in Canada:eek

I think Pops was /is using the Bosch +4 plugs. I would really like to pay less than a couple hundred bucks for plugs

Any advice appreciated

Yea I have the Bosch +4 they've been ok... I put them in the Mini when I bought it late last year and had one shoot out of the block like a bullet, last week. I put it back in but the threads were trashed so I had to install a Heli-Coil... The part that bothers me about this is that it was obvious I'm the first one to have ever touched those plugs and I'm very careful with threading in new plugs so I suspect the Bosch threads were faulty. So, I replaced the Bosch with NGK's equivalent of +4 in the Mini. Advance Auto has good prices on them here.

I ran the Bosch +4 before on a different car and just didn't like them

If you dont want the stock NGK platinum ones in there I would say try the Iridium version of the plug and there are also the Denso Iridium plugs but cost a tad more
