Exclamation Low speed vibration

I have a 15 Armada. Just got it back from the shop. Warranty replacement of the steering rack---was catching when turning. it was also in the shop for a low speed vibration when pulling away from a stop. The dealer confirms the issue but cannot correct the issue until it sets a code. They have claimed to have installed a more sensitive tune to see if a code would set. He claims there are knock senors in the transfer case and rear diff, I cant confirm this as I'm wheelchair bound. Anyone help me here? Do they have the sensors or is smoke being blown?

Unfortunately they are not giving you the straight story......first we do have knock sensors and they are in the engine. There are no knock sensors in a transfer case or a rear diff, there is NOT a "more sensitive tune" and a PCM (computer) doesn't monitor for vibration. I am afraid the service writer you were dealing with absolutely does not have a clue! Find another dealer....don't go back!
