12 QTS of Transmission Fluid Normal?

I purchased a PML oversize transmission pan, larger trans cooler, about 10 ft of extra hose, and bypassed the factory radiator. Luckily, I bought a case of transmission fluid because my Armada required the entire 12 qts and it's still not completely full on level ground in park while the engine is running. Does this sound normal?Click image for larger version

If you did a complete exchange that sounds about right since the stock capacity is 11.5. If you did a drain and fill you can get 4-6 Quarts out depending if you lift the left (passenger) front in the air. If you did a drain and fill sounds to me you are overfull. Even if you got 6 out it would only take roughly 9 Quarts to fill with the PML pan installed.

I wasn't showing enough fluid on the stick at first and it I admit it's hard to judge temperature without a gauge with a oversize pan and two external coolers. Haha

Notes:
- Roughly 5 qts a drained out from the pan
-roughly 4 qts drained out of the factory cooler, internal radiator cooler and lines
- added cooler and roughly 10ft of hose
-added 3.5 qts capacity with deep pan.

I'm at 13.5 qts total and it seems to be in the cold safe zone with the engine running and going through the gears multiple times and around the block twice. I'm going take a 30 mile drive and report back later.

Thanks for offering your thoughts.

This is where my fluid level is, if it helps. Just above the second notch is the hash section.

I was on point with the fluid. I was just surprised how many qts it took. I've traveled almost six thousand miles since the fluid was changed. I don't have a temp gauge on my Armada, so I have no idea if the transmission temp dropped or not.
