I am going to an auto auction tomorrow to look at a 2005 QX56 with "transmission issues". Carpartdotcom does not include transmissions from Armadas when searching for the QX56 transmission. My understanding is the QX56 includes the "big tow" option with a Class IV hitch, which is available on the Armada and standard on the LE.

Does anyone know if the transmission from a Nissan Armada LE or other trim with a big tow package would fit a QX56?

According to parts.nissanusa the part number for a transmission assembly for a 2005 Nissan Armada LE is 31000-ZC07A.

According to parts.infinitiusa the part number for a transmission assembly for a 2005 Infiniti QX56 is 31000ZC07A.

Same number without the "-" i the middle.

So theoretically, they should be compatible, but does anyone KNOW for sure?

In 2005 the drivetrain between the Armada and QX was identical. The extra horsepower in the QX was due to tuning and premium fuel. I can't imagine why the transmission would be any different.
