The space they are talking about is the deck of the rear cargo area. Under the matt(if you got the matt) the floor lifts up and you can easily put a pair of amps there.

BTW, you can do this, I can't. I have the LE and have the power rear tailgate. The box interferes with it. I'm going to find if it would be possible to modify it to fit.

How do you like the Soundstream amp? I used to install those years ago but before they made the "artist" series stuff.

I don't know. No exposure to those. I'd check with the sounddomain guys on that. Personally, I'm thinking of going with a JL Audio sub, either JL or Zapco amps, Focal Utopias for the mids and tweets. Haven't decided on a head unit yet. I was going to steal the changer from the vette. Its a Nakamichi. But I think I'll get maybe a nice Eclypse or Alpine instead.
