If anyone is interested please go to Phoenix automotive inc website and click on more, then product request. Submit the form for the model you would like them to add. We need 198 more submissions for the 2004 Nissan Pathfinder Armada.

Below is the 2016 - 2019 Nissan Titan with the Tesla Style installed.

Thanks.

How well does it integrate with the current system and what is the approximate cost?

And what years would it cover? I know much didn't change in the 1st gen, but I'd be curious if my 2008 or other vehicles would support it as well.

  • Supports split screen display two functions at the same time.
  • Supports full screen display of navigation map.
  • Plug and Play, no wiring required unless otherwise noted.
  • Installation of Android apps in Play Store and from “Unknown sources”.
  • GPS navigation with Android apps of your choice.
  • WiFi Internet connection. Bluetooth music and hands-free calling. MirrorLink with smartphones. Touch control of auto A/C. Display car info like RPM, speed. Optional TV, DVD, DVR modules, etc.
  • Retains factory backup cam, USB, steering wheel control, AUX input.
  • Support most audio and video format. Support Picture in Picture(PIP) playback of movies.
  • EQ balanced audio processing technology and 5.1 DSP Audio.
  • Support RCA rearview camera and other RCA Video input.

Cost is comparable with a high end head unit $350.00 - 1000.00. The QX50 imaged in the post is $639.99.

I am new so can not add links. But it is an easy search on YouTube for (Tesla style install) there are many demos of the system.

Thanks.

Can you do this on an 08 Armada w/ Bose and retain full functionality of factory screens?

Yes sir, it is fully integrated with the existing systems of any vehicle. The only drawback is they do not support Madas yet. We all have to go to the site listed in the post and request the make and model that we would like them to support. After they receive 200 request for the same make and model that is when they will support it.

Thanks.

That price is certainly reasonable for what it seems you're getting. Do we have to request it with the exact same details? Or if I put 2008 Armada, will they know it's the same as a 2006 Armada?

Anyway, here is the page to request a vehicle to be supported.

I'm not sure if you would know, but if we all request separate model years, will they count them as separate vehicle requests or will they lump supported vehicle models in? Because if we have 25 people request it for each of the 1st gen model years, it would be 300 votes, but if they only count it based on the year requested, we may not be able to make the numbers with members on the forum.

I do not know the exact answer to the question. But I do know that the dash did not change for multiple years, an 04 could use the same kit for multiple years and the 07 can do the same and so on.

I am a modder, so if it takes 1, 2, 3 months before we reach 200 that is fine with me. I will have it, that is my only objective. My dash looks fine now but the Tesla kit will set it off.

Will it fit my Infiniti QX56. Also is the GPS function like the current one where updates are done via a fee. One final questions, can the GPS made for Europe?. Thanks Birol

This is not going to physically replace the HDD system if you have an HDD based car or if you have the DVD PLAYER—you will still have to purchase the code or the discs to update the gps.

The factory gps is only for Europe and canada/ Mexico i believe. Based on what I have read this is just an interface to the existing system, with added “android auto” style functionality.

If your QX56 center console is styled like the Armada for your year, then yes. GPS is Android so it will not be stock. But the advantage is that I prefer Waze and being Android GPS can be switched to the drivers preference. I do not know for a fact but I imagine that GPS in Europe is GPS in the USA, after-all who's currently on Mars?

About the GPS, with this system installed, since it is android based it is a requirement to turn on hotspot and share the internet connection from your mobile device. Until GPS is integrated on the Highways, which is in development it is a requirement. I am not positive but I imagine that the stock GPS will be mute.

So this system runs old Kit kat Android software. Not the best version of Android. The screen looks slick but I’d be surprised if it integrates completely with a second gen armada/qx with all the sensors and functionality they newer cars have. I’d have to see this on a later year model qx/armada before I invested in it. Some other commenters on this video and two others I saw on the Internet complain of stuttering audio and slow boot ups.

It’s a slick interface and looks totally great in this Dodge Ram, but i like to see something from all angles PRO and CON.

Based on the Phoenix product request form, the make/ model's they have listed are year ranges so I assume we all would be better off (make it easy for Phoenix) if we include model year range with any submission not on their list.

I was wondering if there is anyway to replace the radio in the armada and with what is the question? I wanted it to be a touch screen but I also wanted to be able to use the rear back up camera, and the steering wheel controls, for volume and other such things I am not sure how much is tied into the "radio" I've seen some solutions such as the Metra 99-7620b Which looks nice but the double screen just seems outdated in 2020. I know its an older vehicle but do you think there might be a way to get something such the attached video?
or even one that replaces the existing screen with a "smart" radio like modern cars.

I just ordered this a couple of weeks ago and expect to get it today. I was going to try and install it tomorrow, I can post pics once I am done and let you know how it works.

Hi
I am new to this club I have a Nissan Armada 2004, I am the only owner and love it. Can anyone tell me if Phoenix Auto makes a Tesla style system for this vehicle, if not can I install an aftermarket system and still have use of the nav and heating controls
Thanks
