Added K&N FIPK, noticed power when accelerating past 2500 rpms... now need exhaust. What's the verdict for the matchup w/ my K&N?

Gibson or Borla. Then you need programing to get the most out of the mods. ;)

Now I have to decide on Dual or Single. What's up with the programming? Do they usually do it once they add the exhaust or is that a separate setup?
A place in Ft Myers is now doing programing and getting more power. www.proautotech.com is supposed to be doing this for us. ;)
Newbie..

I just called Autozone and the are selling that for $49.95.. is that a good price??

I am a complete newbie to mods, etc. - don't know jack about engines.. is this something I could install myself?? Also - K&N vs. Volant..?
$50 is for a K&N filter. A FIPK is different and a K&N is typically around $250 or so. You can install it with basic hand tools (sockets and screw drivers) in about 15 minutes.

The programmer guy said he would update the ECU for free for additional mods. However, you have shipping, and your SUV will be down while its done so be aware of this. Also, dual vs. single, dual looks nicer, single seems to get more power and less possible heat damage to the spare, etc. Both have been done and both are liked. Its up to you. Like picking wheels. ;)
