I have a 2008 Armada that suddenly started having issues. All the lights on the dash light up including 4WD/ABS/SLIP/VDC, etc and the 4WD automatically kicks in.

Any ideas?
:(

Thanks,

Thanks RC340!! Well I've been told that it is an ABS issue and they would have to replace the ABS controller ($1700) and that's just step 1. Mind you this vehicle went in for a leak at the differential and came out with this issue. The Master Mechanic has since told me to just drive it and see if it's a heat issue. Where do I go from here??? He checked the brake fluid level and said it and the the brakes were fine.

I had all these lights come on with my 07 but it would not allow me to go into 4WD - it ended up being a bad ABS sensor - not the controller. Hopefully this is the case for you as a sensor is waaaaay cheaper than the controller. Identified it by having a friend (mechanic) hook up his code reader to the truck.

It was the right front differential. He was talking about the heat wave here on the east coast. Diagnostics was done twice and there is a C1132 failure code. Also forgot to mention that the speedometer does not work when this happens.

And the problems continue....

Hi Everyone,

I was on here a little over a year ago and the problem ended up being the ABS actuator which had to be replaced. Now I am being told that the brake booster has to be replaced. Like most of you I had the grinding brakes and the brake light came on and a loss of power in stopping the vehicle. I have also been told by the mechanic that Nissan knows this is an issue and yet has not done anything to fix the problem. Of course after researching it I now know as well as I'm sure everyone here knows, it is a HUGE problem and Nissan has yet to step up to the plate and stand behind their product. I posted on the Nissan FB page today and got a reply within a matter of minutes with an indication that they want to help resolve my problem. I am utilizing the social network to try to bring some real attention to this issue and hope that at least some of you will consider doing the same. This problem has been happening since at least as early as 2004 and it's time that Nissan handles the issue. Please also let me know if anyone is interested in filing a class action lawsuit against Nissan.
Thanks!

Hey BlkSpyda!

Have to try by any means necessary to get this problem resolved. Good luck - as of yesterday afternoon Nissan Consumer Affairs directed me to call the Better Business Bureau. I also filed a complaint with NHTSA (888-327-4236). The more complaints they get about the braking problems the more likely they are to force Nissan to do a recall.

Thanks!
