What is the cause? how do I fix own car for years just lit up month ago

I think there is a pressure sensor in the evap canister behind your rear driver side wheel. That might be reading in error. Look at the connections and the like. I don't think you can replace it without replaying the whole canister. I might be wrong though. Do you top off your tank when getting gas? That can cause some issues. Try not filling your tank all the way for a few weeks, it might clear it out.
I get evap errors when I top off my tank.

Is that scan tool capable of testing and operating the EVAP vent and purge valves separately? If so, you can check exactly which one is causing the issue. The purge valve is located in the engine bay and the vent valve solenoid is on the charcoal canister. Over time, the vent valve solenoid eventually begins to seize up and will cause evap related DTCs.
