hey folks. Bought our 21 Armada in July and we’re experiencing ALL of the issues listed in this thread. We live in the state of Georgia and we’re exercising our Lemon Law rights.

I contacted corporate and have been getting CRAZY runaround. They’re even trying to not abide by the Georgia state Lemon Law guidelines that says they HAVE to replace the vehicle at no cost to the customer. It’s a mess and I’m also someone who has owned 7 Nissans, 5 of which were brand new. I have been a FAITHFUL Nissan customer but they have truly lost us on this one… we will NEVER purchase another Nissan. Their arbitrators are extremely unprofessional and have lied several times. We love the vehicle, but if I’m spending over $50k for a vehicle, there’s no way I’m going to be dealing with volume that sticks, backup cameras that go blank, displays that reboot, heat that stops working, cellphone chargers over heating the phones (iPhone 12’s), backup sensors going out, speakers popping,….

Yeah that’s a no-go for me
Again, the cost of the vehicle is irrelevant. It should work to your satisfaction, period.

curious,
did nissan tell you before you signed the contract to purchase that the system had "problems"? how are you able to prove this? was it stated in the contract?
What I am saying is Nissan did not tell me that the navigation system does not work right it can not update! Nissan new this in 2020 and still sold the car’s and too this day they still don’t have the program to update the car !

there are thousands of these specific vehicles on the road and many don't have any issues. it can seem, based on visiting an enthusiast's site like this one that caters specific to this vehicle, that every model of this specific car on the road would have these problems. in reality thats not the case. it would still be an uphill battle to prove what nissan corporate knew at any one time. im not being argumentative , just offering a different side. this issue is frustrating and sad as their vehicle is really a well made product and has the track history to show it. hopeful Nissan corporate will make those affected whole and restore faith back into those owners who trust the brand.

True statement, but it does add insult to injury when you spend that kind of money hoping to get a quality vehicle. I know it’s not Mercedes or BMW, but I’ve always known Nissan to be a quality vehicle until now. I shoulda gotten an X7 lol
Trust me, Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Land Rover, Maserati, they all have their fair-share of gremlins - all of them. Check their forums. But again, the price of the vehicle is immaterial, regardless. A new Kia should work, a new Nissan should work, Toyota should work, Ford should work, etc... my 2021 still glitches 10-15% of the time, not a deal breaker for me. And I'm not taking it back to the dealer for this - it's not worth the risk for me. I would hate to have the dash taken apart and have the infotainment center replaced with new unit that has the exact same pitfalls. I think it is an issue with the software communicating with each other...Nissan, Apple, Android, etc - what a mess this has to be. The hard reset (by holding down the power/volume knob for 10 seconds) has become my best friend with this ride. I reset the system 2-3 times / month. Not a huge pain and it always reboots and connects as it should.

Drove to the grocery store this morning - everything was fine. Was in the store for about an hour. Come out, start the truck, and the radio will not come on. I have no backup cameras, no dash readouts except for digital speedometer. This issue adds to the list that I have had with this vehicle. I am extremely disappointed in Nissan at this point. For a $60k+ vehicle, I expect better than this.

Has anyone else had this issue?
I'm having this issue too and I filed a claim today. Do you think it'll get resolved? I have a 2021 Armada Platinum w/53k miles...it's been almost 2 weeks...still no display, nav, cameras, radio, wifi....I've been to 2 dealership service centers too.

If you haven't had display / nav / radio / carplay in almost 2 weeks, they should replace the entire unit, no questions asked. One thing you may try, next time you start the truck, try holding down the power/volume knob for 10 full seconds. This is a hard reset for the entire unit, including the center stack driver information center. This might reboot the system. For what it's worth, mine (also a '21) downloaded and processed a large update last week. Thankfully, it's working as it should. iOS 16 just came out this week too - maybe the interface will be smooth. But I would camp out at the dealer of choice until they committed to fixing / replacing the infotainment system. That's their job.

I called Nissan and filed a claim...I've been to 2 different dealerships and they have no idea how to fix my Armada.

The infotainment system in my 2021 Armada is extremely glitchy. The volume control will get stuck on navigation voice volume and will not allow me to change the volume on the radio or the volume of a caller on Bluetooth. In addition, the direct tune knob does not scroll through station on satellite radio. Lastly, periodically the system randomly shuts down and reboots all by itself while I am driving.

When the volume control gets stuck on Navigation voice volume I have to hold down the on/off button for 15 seconds to do a hard reboot to get the ability to adjust the radio volume again.

I took it into the dealer and they told me that these glitches are because the cellphones I have paired to the radio have operating system versions higher than what the radio can handle. They said I need to be patient and these bugs will work themselves out via future system updates.

Hard to believe that a vehicle at this price has such nuisances in its performance. Anyone with the same experience? Is the Dealer Service Center feeding me a line?
Have a fix been issued for this problem?? I’m thinking of buying a 2021 Armada…

It gets better with every update. Don’t let this keep you from getting a 21/22 model year. They are great vehicles. The wireless CarPlay and infotainment display is awesome.

Glad I found my people finally! We purchased our '21 Armada Platinum in May. Traded in a perfectly fine '17 really just to get the infotainment 'upgrades'. We are experiencing similar issues. The main one is that the system will reboot without warning. Sometimes continuously (10x in a row). Very hard to use the Navigation system. Invariably it happens when I am trying to get somewhere I am not familiar with and the screen goes blank. When the reboot happens, I often loose all my stored address book entries and have to reenter them. On several occasions I have lost all the POI data in the navigation system. Lasted SW updates do not help. Yesterday I provided my dealer with a disk of 21 video occurrences I recorded on my phone of the system glitches. This is the third time it has been at the dealer for issues. Yesterday I also filed a complaint with Nissan Consumer Affairs and have a case number. Nissan Tech wanted to give me an assignment to do a major research project and collect data for them. I declined and told them to fix the vehicle, provided them the case number. Let's see what happens.
Have you had any luck?

I have a 21 Platinum Armada and have had problems with the screen since I got it. They replaced the radio and it still doesn’t work properly. The TVs in the backseat also don’t work. I agree that Nissan should be held accountable for selling vehicles with so many problems. I’m willing to join a lawsuit.

Have you gotten anywhere with this? Or heard anything more? It’s so frustrating!

It’s working for me. It’s not glitch free by any means but I rent vehicles on a regular basis and none are glitch free, even wired versions from Audi, Mercedes, and/or Ford. I’ve never had the infotainment center looked at, serviced, or replaced. I keep it updated, keep my phone updated, and go on with life.

Have a 21 Armada. It’s been in the shop 10 times now and the issue still isn’t resolved. Radio has been replaced 4 times. Both antennas replaced twice. Has had several software updates. No change. Screen will go black. No radio. No satellite. No phone connection. After up to 30 minutes or a hard reset it will reboot and work again until the next time it happens. Frequency of this is hours to days. Initiated the lemon law process this week.
