Get the service manual (free if you look online) and look at the exploded view. You can also go to an online parts depot , searching for that part, and seeing the exploded view there.

In short, it can be removed, just like the rear (if you have captains chairs), but it will leave screws/bolts behind and possible wiring.

Hello there,

Just picked up a 2018 Armada with the 2nd row captain chairs and couldn't find any detailed information on how to remove the center console. Well, I've got the information that you need to complete the task.

Tools you'll need:
Ratchet
10mm deep socket (regular socket will work also)
T20 torx bit

Time to complete:
15 to 20 minutes

Steps:

Make sure both captain's chairs are folded forward to access the screws attached to the center console.

Use T20 torx bit to remove 4 screws on the bottom of the center console, 2 screws on each side (pic)

Once screws are out, pull up the center console to remove from mounting brackets (pic)

There is 2 10mm bolts that hold down each bracket. To access the bolts for the rear bracket pull forward the carpet that is covering the rear bracket. Use ratchet and 10mm socket to remove bolts (pic)

To gain access to the bolts for the front bracket, there is enough room in carpet cutout for the bracket to use a socket to remove the bolts, this is where the deep socket will come in handy (pic)

Once both bolts are removed, you can reach underneath the carpet to retrieve the bracket.

I reinstalled the bolts to the floor for safe keeping, labeled the brackets and reinstalled the brackets to the center console.

And the last picture is what the 2nd row looks like without the center console. If you don't like the look of the 4 holes in the carpet where the brackets used to stick up, Nissan does sell an 3rd row floor mat that covers the middle section of the second row. I found 2 parts numbers (different colors) form Nissan and Infiniti, both were $105 when I called my local Nissan and Infiniti dealerships. You can find it a few bucks cheaper online. The part numbers for the 3rd row floor mats are 999E2-3XCC2 and 999E2-3XCC4. I'll most likely get the floor mat because I expect a lot of people using the 3rd row seats.

Hope this info helps with those who want to remove the 2nd row center console on the 2nd gen Armada.

Thank you so much for this post... I did the same thing in my Armada and purchased the carpeted center console mat you stated above but I would love to order this in the all weather floor liner version and no one seems to make it. I asked weather tech if they would consider it and haven't heard back. I wonder if anyone has come across this yet??

You're welcome, glad my post helped you. Last February I contacted Husky Liners, Maxliner and WeatherTech to see if they offered a 3rd row/center console rubber mat but all of them said that they didn't have a replacement piece nor do they intend to make one in the future. I've seen gen 1 Armada owners just buy a simple rubber mat that fit in between the captains chair.

Thank you so much! I was thinking the same thing about a simple rubber mat but have yet to find one in the right size. Guess the carpeted mat will do for now. :)

Once you remove the 2 floor brackets, this is what the center aisle looks like. I got a specific floormat to cover the center, the specific floormat is one piece which covers the 3 row floor also.
