Yesterday I took my Armada in to have the A/C TSB done. My A/C has been OK, but I figured that a new fan clutch and aux. electric fan wouldn't hurt.
Here are the part numbers for the new items:
Engine fan coupling: 21082-7S004
Aux. electric fan: 92120-ZC200

The new electric fan is larger and has a larger, more powerful motor. The sound of this fan is different. As you know, the electric fan made a lot of noise when it came on, a high pitched whine. The new fan also makes noise, but it is a lower pitch sound, and it is not as noticeable from inside.

Part of the fix is to reprogram the section of the ECM that controls the A/C compressor clutch. The old calibration was 17S015, the new is 17S03A.

I haven't driven enough since the fix to see if it makes any difference. I am leaving in the morning, will be driving 225 miles to San Antonio, then some driving in heavy traffic there. The only time I have noticed any A/C problems in the past have been under those conditions, so I will see how things work tomorrow.
