Hey guys,

I've been following this forum for a few weeks and I'm under the impression that all the mods being discussed are along the lines of making one's ride "all pimp'd out". You know... 20-26" rims, new headlights, billets, chrome, chrome, etc....

Don't get me wrong. I love the mods and pics everyone is posting, but (and this is a big but) I want to use my Armada for the offroads. You know, what the trucks are meant for; designed for. It's one thing to drive the streets and show your Bling Bling. It's a totally different thing to take your ride out to remote areas no one else can get to and enjoy nature, enjoy some quite time, show the Armada's power in action. Hard to do when your 22's and performance tires can't bite down on the trail. You'll look good, but won't get far.

In any case, I'm looking for folks out there who have been updating their rides with the latest offroad accessories. I've painstakingly searched for custom accessories for the Armada, but I'm quite disappointed to find out that there is very limited vendors out there. Infact, the major shops like JAOS and ARB don't come close to acknowledging the Armada as an offroad vehicle. As such, they make no plans on extending their products to fit on one. I'm feeling buyers remorse, when everywhere I look the Land Cruiser, Land Rovers, Jeeps get all the cool toys fabricated for them.

If anyone out there has made the type of mods that say "I can take this bad boy out into the desert, jungle, mountains, the "bush" and bludgeon the trail with this behemoth of a truck", then I need to hear from you.

Thanks all.

Check with WILDnPHX and Campfamily. They seem to do some off roading. With my 22's I do manage some mild off roading. I do fish a lot! I will not do the extreme offroading like I used to do. My first and second SUVs wer the Mitsubishi Montero LS and Montero Sport.

I am getting too old for that hardcore digging!

Finally, someone after my own heart.

Procomp has a lift kit. 8". You can mount 37s with that. Next, there are two good winch bumpers. 2020 pointed out the site again.

Do a search there for armada and titan. Don't forget, most stuff for the front of titans work on armadas. They often forget to list it.
Snorkel is there. If no snorkel, at least do an aftermarket intake. This will give you some protection vs. mud and water, which can get into the stock intake when running mud. You'll need to get custom rock rails, but they're easy. Just replace the running boards. It will also get you some more side clearance. Get wet okole seat covers. The offroad mada comes with skid plates. Don't forget the fender flares. Throw in some performance enhancements like exhaust or even a supercharger, and your good to go!

8" lift
Steel front bumper
Warn 10k Winch
37" Nitto Mud Grapplers in 37x13.5x 18 or x20
Rims (11-12" wide)
Snorkel
Piaa lights in the bumper
Supercharger
Seat covers
Roof rack
Fender flares
Custom rock rails
= Monster off road vehicle.
