Has anyone put an aftermarket brake upgrade yet? I've been looking at the Rotora kit 16" rotor 8 piston caliper, 3800.00. That might be the biggest kit thats out there... If anyone has information about this topic please let me know thanks...

Do it if you want it for looks. Skip it otherwise. You won't stop substantially faster. Most large kits are meant for raciing purposes, where you brake repeatedly hard over and over. The larger brakes fight brake fade. Stock brakes are fine for street driving and towing. With the new rotors and pads, the "big brake upgrade" becomes one of looks rather than actually performance. For $3800, you could put on a lift kit and exhaust, or you are 2/3 of the way to a supercharger. But that would be more than a waste of money unless pretty looking rotors are what you want. ;)

So you think the stock rotor upgrade from the factory will out last any other aftermarket brake system? With the bigger rims the factory brakes take a little more to stop of course, wont that cause less life for the pads and rotors?

Nothing out of the ordinary. Both will wear. You might get a little more life from a big brake vs. stock, maybe 5% more? But both will wear regardless. The Big Brake isn't meant to last longer. Its meant to stop in slightly shorter distances and to stop hard many times in a short period of time. That's about it.
Stock brake pads should last 40-60k. Stock rotors should last 2 pad changes. New pads should cost about $75 and rotors $40 or so. ;)

I had to replace he front pads @ 27k. I tow my race car about 5 to 6 times a year. My Armada is an 04.

Makes sense. The '04s had the old pads. New ones should break down less and dust less. ;)
if you don't have ABS i say it's worth it but you do so i think it's not gonna make any diff. on braking distance. maybe just a little. but those big caliper and rotor looks awesome though. :D

I agree, just not awesome enough that they look more awesome than a set of wheels and tires, which would still cost less. ;)
