Aftermarket Rims

I am going to be relocating to Boston in Feb of next year. I was contemplating getting aftermarket rims, but I heard because of the cold weather up north that its not advisable. Anyone up north that keeps their aftermarket rims on during the winter months, and what are the pros/cons to having chrome rims..

I heard it's not good to keep them on during winter months.
I'm from NY and most people around here take them off in the winter......sometime in NOVEMBER. They get pitted....I guess because of the salt? Not too sure if the salt is the ONLY reason.

GOOD IDEA. get them when you have the WHOLE spring and Summer season to show off the Madas NEW SHOES! ;)
