Getting a Red Brawn '06 LE 4x4 with the tech and dvd packages. It will be my wife's car. Replacing a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan SE that has been a pain in my rear since we bought it. I drive an '03 VW Jetta GLI but it's mainly for work. After three years with no vacation (small company) we'll be loading up the Armada and disappearing for a while a few times this year. That and I think we're going to pick up a boat as we just bought a house with shared frontage on a very nice lake.

Welcome to club armada. I got my 06 LE 4x4 over a month ago and I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I am. Only point I was trying to make for other buyers is to avoid the expensive nissan dvd package. for the same amount of dollars you can get a dual screen headrest dvd without the shake problem inherent in the armada. yes i know they stiffened the dvd mount but it still shakes. that's why i ordered my LE with only tech pkg and used the money for other mods which really makes me enjoy my ride.

Thanks for the welcome! So far we LOVE the Armada! The kids are comfortable, it rides great, and it's pretty damn fun to take through the snow.

We did get the DVD entertainment system. I'm a computer geek by trade and I've done a crapload of car stereo installs in my lifetime but as I get older I find I'd rather just buy it done rather than save a few (or more) bucks.

My wife is going to freak tomorrow when I start taking the plastic off the liftgate so I can route the antenna wire for the amatuer radio I want to install. If I don't post more after this I'm dead.

You'll love it. I'd only suggest getting different tires. Rims are optional but the stock tires are junk. If you put something else on like Michelin Cross Terrain SUV, you will find the ride softer, quieter, better handling, and better traction on all surfaces. It also won't feel vague, tippy, and wonder like it does on the contis.
