Nissan has been great to work with about squeaks and rattles (passenger seat and rear overhead console). Lots of help from the dealership and when I called Nissan USA telling them they had a design and/or assembly problem on their hands, they talked to my dealer, called me back, etc etc. All the squeaks are fixed.

Reliability isn't an issue at this point (20k). I bought a Nissan in part because my parents put 300k pain free miles on Mercury Villager (aka Nissan Quest) with a Nissan V-6. Front brakes have been the only hassle, but the dealers have been great in providing repairs (turned rotors, new pads, new rotors).

Interested to hear why you are going for an Armada vice a Suburban with five kids. We have three, expecting the fourth, and are wondering what to do with groceries when you have four kids in the truck. The space behind the third row is minimal (more than an Expedition or Tahoe, but nothing compared to a 'burban).

Space behind the third row...

We routinely put a stroller, extra booster seat, soccer balls, etc back there. I can fit a double jogger if I remove the front wheel. It is bigger than the competitors and with the ability to open the back glass to access it, it is fairly useful. We can also fit two good sized black labs back there for short trips.

The hitch is when we go grocery shopping, or get a few boxes, etc. Then we find we have to have the third row folded down to have enough room. And when we take longer family trips, that third row has to be down.

My concern is when we add a fourth kid (inevitable) that we'll lose the ability to fold the third row, since none of my kids are old enough to ride up front. The only possibility is putting three kids across the back row (tough because its narrow), one on a side in the second row, folding the two other second row seats flat and putting the bags/boxes/etc there.

Somehow my parents made do with four kids and an Olds Delta 88 sedan. We even did two cross country treks in that beast.
