I have an 04 SE 2x4, and am looking into buying a ski boat. Have any of you had any trouble pulling a boat out of the water with a 2x4? I know my buddy had problems with a Ford F150 he used to pull a Ski Nautique out of the water. Ramp was not too steep, but it pulled his truck into the water. The rear wheels slipped quiet a bit. just curious if anyone has had an similar problems.

Depends on the boat weight, etc. I'm always at the ramp and more often than not I see a 4x2 spinning its tires trying to get a boat out. The part of the ramp by the water is slimy and you are pulling uphill. This is one of the main reasons I have a 4x4. No offense, but a 4x2 SUV to me is just a tall tippy van. Try having 6 buddies jump up and down on the bumper while the tire spins and smokes. This is how most people get the boat out. ;)
