We own a 2010 Armada with 257K miles...wanted to keep it longer but transmission slips sometimes now. Mechanic suggested replacing the battery to see if that was causing any of this...makes little sense to me and I think it’s just time to say goodbye...what do you all think!?

I would bet dollars to donuts a new battery will not solve a slipping transmission problem.

I didn't think so either but he pushed for us to try to get a new battery (not from his shop at all so no conflict in terms of $$), before just deciding to look for a new to us car this week....THX

Yeah, 257k was a good run! I don't think I would put much more $ into it at this point either.
I'm at 120k now on my '07 and expect to get another 100k out of it.
