I keep a spare eBay switch in the glovebox. Really wish Nissan would issue an actual recall.

You would think that the inability to start a vehicle would be a life/death situation. IMHO it comes down to the small number of these vehicles on the road. If this was happening to an F150 it would already be handled. (Disclaimer....in no way saying that an F150 is a superior vehicle)

My first suggestion is MAKE the dealer fix it if you're still under warranty.
If you're not under warranty, read through the last 5 pages of this thread.
There are part numbers that myself and others have used/bought for replacements that have seemed to fix the problem.

Just a few days ago there was a member that found another Nissan switch that didn't have any issues, but also fit the Armada. @Bravosser got a part number?

There was also mention of a TSB that required a computer re-flash. It's not really a huge problem, just annoying until you get it figured out.

The dealer not being able to figure it out would not be acceptable to me. I would escalate that to Nissan USA.

I had the BCI malfunction and a hard time starting my 2019 Armada. I bought a Brake Light Switch from Rockauto, and replaced it. It took about 2 minutes to remove the old and put in the new. I continued to have the BCI malfunction. I saw someone post in this thread to get an older Brake Light Switch from a junkyard. I don't have any experience with junkyards, so I went to Ebay and bought a 2010 Infinite Brake Light Switch (used). After I installed the 2010 brake light switch, I have had 0 problems and the collision system works better than it ever has. If I were you, I would buy an older Brake Light Switch, my price shipped was 15 bucks, and it should take care of the issue. Hope this helps!
Part number for the one you ended up with?
