I bought a Granite 2006 Armada LE 4x4 with sunroof for $1500 below invoice. (No tech or dvd package) At the time, that was about $1600 better than anywhere locally, so I flew to St. Louis, MO and bought this one. My local dealers would only get very close to invoice, so I thought I got a pretty good deal. I think it came to like $39100 ish?

What kind of deals are you guys getting on the remaining 05, or the new 06 models?

I just bought a 2005 over Thanksgiving. The sticker on the Armada was $46,500. We paid $38,200 ($40,000 out the door with tax). That included a $2500 factory rebate. Obviously, dealers are more willing to give a good deal on '05's at this point.

talk to manager

I went to Champion Nissan in Katy, Texas and they gave me $2000 below invoice on a 06 Armada LE 4x4. Ask for CHris Mancey general mgr. The rebate is only $1500 but tell him Dr. Ham sent you and he'll do right by you.

Thanks for the replies!
I'm in Orlando, FL and am planning on visiting a few of the local dealers to test drive and feel them out price wise this week. I currently have an 05 Envoy XL V8, which I will be getting rid of. The Armada....... or possibly a minivan (Honda) are my top choices.

There are many faults that have come to light with the Envoy in the 3K miles I've had it, including a hole in the exhaust, interior trim falling off, useless A/C, windshield problem, transmission problem, rattles and so on! I just don't have the time to mess around going back and forth to the dealer with this piece of crap, and need a roomy, well built and safe vehicle (have 4 daughters including newborn twins) that I will keep and be reliable for a long time to come. Prior to the mistake of buying this piece of GMC junk, I had a 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata and a 2000 Jaguar XJ8L, neither of which had any issues, but had to let them go when the twins arrived :(

I got a 2005 SE with dual DVD's in the head rest, tow package, and 4x4 for $32500 out the door. Thats after the 2500 rebate. Sticker price was 42000. I had a lot of leverage though because the local Carmax was selling a used '05 same type for 28000 so I gladly mentioned that during the bargain process.

I'm in Metrowest. I got a price from www.new-nissans.com and then brought it along. Reed Nissan is scumy, Universal is hard selling, and Bill Heard is the nice one. I got mine from Titusville when they said they would match the new-nissan deal. Good luck! ;)

Thank you. Don't you mean Bill Ray Nissan in Longwood? I thought Bill Heard was the Chevy dealer.
And speaking of Reed, they were offering $5K off 06 models on the radio yesterday....hmmm.

I just bought my 2005 Smoke SE Offroad Armada in Columbus, Ohio. I'm in the Army and stationed in Texas. I went with the www.fightingchance.com tactic and dealt with 30 some dealers between Dallas-Ft. Worth/Central Texas/Austin/San Antonio/ Houston and Cincinnatti/Dayton/Columbus, Ohio. I was looking at new 4x4 LEs or SE Offroads with the features that I wanted. The rebate on the 2006s at the time was $1,500 and 2005s $2,500 this Past December 2005. The best deal I could get on a new Virgin 2005 4x4 LE in Black with everything but Nav and DVD was $38,500. I was offered a demo with 3,700 miles for $37,000. I looked at and seriously considered a used 2004 black 4x4 LE with DVD (no NAV) with 22,340 miles for $30,000-$31,000. The best deal for a virgin 2005 SE Offroad I got was $36,200 but they didn't have the color I wanted (Black/Smoke/Blue). I finally settled on a 2005 SE Offroad (4x4) with Sunroof/Pwrgate and Brushguard for $36,500. They had to order it from another dealership from Toledo. I was not below invoice but it was relatively close. I'm pretty happy with the deal.

I got my Smoke Armada, '06 SE 4x2 w/ Bose and Tow pkg for Invoice minus rebate...

Sticker was $37,015... Invoice was $33,590.

I offered them invoice price MINUS $1500 rebate and paid $32,700 including tax, tag, title, admin fees (SC taxes are capped at $300).

One suggestion I have when haggling over a new car... Look up the "True Market Value" on Edmunds.com for reference, but DON'T accept that price. If you aren't beating the TMV... you're not getting a good deal. I have bought 2 new vehicles for much better than the TMV value, and have had other offers that beat it too.
