Has anyone on here installed the Big Tow Mirrors on thier Armada?? The more I tow my Jeep around the more I think I want them. If you have installed them, how are they?? Are they worth the coin, and post or email me some pics if you got em.
I'm interested in this as well. I'd like to see the back end of my boat when I'm turning....kthrash said:Has anyone on here installed the Big Tow Mirrors on thier Armada?? I had the mirrors installed on my Armada LE at time of purchase. Its a love-hate relationship ..... I love the view they provide when towing...However I hate the fact that they are so big they seem to take up nearly half the view out the side windows. Also there are no puddle lights on the tow mirrors. Something my standard LE mirrors had.kthrash said:Has anyone on here installed the Big Tow Mirrors on thier Armada?? Do the McKesh mirrors make marks on the paint? I bought a pair of cheap clip-ons, they don't work at all, because the clips make it so the standard mirrors can't be adjusted.Cillyone said:As much as I lust after the Nissan big tow mirrors I can’t justify the $. I really like the stock LE mirrors for everyday use. When towing our toybox I am currently using McKesh tow mirrors and love them, excellent quality, easy to put on(after first time) and really stable. I bought these mirrors 10 years ago for my previous tow vehicle and will be on my next; they will most likely last forever. I have seen very similar mirrors marketed under different names, but I think McKesh brought them to market first. I have seen them priced anywhere between $100 and $150 per set. Good stuff!
The surface must be clean and they leave no marks. The guy (wife’s girlfriend hubby) who bought my last trailer uses them also and he is WAY fussy about his paint. The first time you use them you have to adjust them to your truck is when you have to be careful, after that they fold up and stay in adjustment and then they are easy to put back on. I helped the fellow who bought my trailer install and adjust his and a second pair of hands makes it easier. I was not giving up my mirrors, I made him buy his own. Do it ahead of time and not on the day you are leaving. Pitch the clip-ons, I did. Oh yea, I noticed they offer an optional convex-wide angle round mirrors you can add along side the regular mirror. I would like to get a pair someday.Campfamily said:Do the McKesh mirrors make marks on the paint?
