This last week I put a 1969 digital master of Blood, Sweat and Tears in my truck. Hadn't put any of my Super Audio CD's in my truck yet....for seemingly obvious reasons, and I was pleasantly suprised, not only for the enhanced sound quality that I didn't expect, but it also displays information like Album title, and track name.

Are you saying that the Bose system in your '05 will play Super Audio CD's? Does it play in true 5.1 surround, or does it mix it back to stereo, or does it leave the surround channels out?

I wonder if that is a change from the '04's. I'll put one in and report back tomorrow.

Very interesting.

SACDs have a standard CD layer that can be played by any CD player. Depending on the disc, not everyone has a CD layer but it's in the specs. The Dark Side of the Moon has a CD layer. I copied it so that there is no chance of damaging the disc and ruining the SACD layer.

Have a good one.
