I usually just wash mine and it comes off. ;)

First of all welcome aboard! Another ship for the fight, eh Captain!

Second of all, I apologize for my sarcastic and simplistic answer to your question. I tend to come alive after raiding the kids trick-or-treat candy this time at night.

The brake dust is a common issue that I believe most of us have. I don't know if after market ceramic pads are out yet. They can be hard on the rotors, but that is probably the route I'll choose when it's time to replace. That is of course if Nissan doesn't come out with a new pad that takes care of the problem.

Once again, Vote for Bush and Welcome Aboard!

Dust seems common

I traded in my 2001 Xterra for the Armada. The Xterra always produced alot of brake dust, Im seeing the same thing in my Armada, so the only thing to do is to keep on keeping on. Don't let the dust sit for long periods especially if you live in the northern cold climates and don't have like washing your Armada in the winter..do it any ways, this will keep those rims looking good!

has anyone used wheel wax?

i've been told that once you get a coat or two on your rims, the brake dust doesn't stick as easily!
The real solution is to go to a harder brake compound - aftermarket pads. The trade off with brake dust is that you end up with minor brake squeal.

Choose your poison.
Guys check with GregV at www.mossyperformance.com he has the new Carbotech high performance brake pads. He posted about them in their part of the Site Sponsor's section.
He even donated a set to us for our meet Saturday. JetTech won them and will do a review on them soon. Really quality stuff.

If "JetTech" is the same poster I've seen at TitanTalk, I'm glad he won them. That JetTech has done some outstanding maintenance and infomational posts. I'm sure the review he'll post will be worth the click and read.

I wonder if Zaino would help? I haven't performed the Zaino ritual yet on my Armada. When I do, I'll cover the rims and see if it helps.
Yes its the same JetTech he is a moderator on my other site www.clubtitan.org He does some great reviews and is very helpfull.
