Greetings!

I have a 2011 'Mada 4x4 with 165K miles.

I'm occasionally getting what sounds like "wear indicator" noise from, I think, the back brakes. Mostly during slow speed stops.

I've checked the brake pads and they are about 75% in the front and 50% in the rear.

Any ideas about what might be making the noise?

Thanks in advance.

Parking brake is located on rear wheels. Is it possible your shoes are wearing out? Not sure about it being speed related.

I actually went thru this before & it was an easy fix with brake lube. I lubed up the side of the brake pads that come in contact with the caliber & also lubed up the shims. After that I've had no noise.

If it still continues after that, only thing I can think that it could possibly be are the rotors.
