Cold Air intake

Just installed K&N intake on my 2020 Armada. Wouldn't start and stay running. Loooked everything over and was installed perfectly. Took it all off and went back to factory, and she started right up and runs fine. Curious who all has a CAI on their 2017+ armadas and what are you running?

So... Why are you being super rude? You're in here patronizing someone that's doing something they want to do.

He should be ignoring you but tried to ask a legit question and all you do is be a jerk? That's not appropriate.

If you're old enough to buy a car, you're old enough not to be a jerk for no reason.
BIOYA, jerk.
BIOYA, jerk.
I had to Google what that was because I'm not 13.

I can tell you're either a child on the wrong forum or a boomer that hates everything.

@Mike_S has 68 posts since Feb. Clearly I’m not going read them since he’s adding notta to this thread. My guess is he’s trolling.

I have a k&n in my 2020 and it sounds good. Does FEEL I LITTLE different, but I think I need to tune it, how do I know if I need a tune?

But yes double check your connections, they kinda confusion with those small hose, also check maf sensor and it's connector got to run it a certain way to get it to connect.

@Rick Trexel. Please make sure you've got the MAF sensor installed correctly. Lol.

I too, have always modified just about every vehicle I've owned. Some were heavily modded more than others but IMO, a CAI is always that "first" mod to get the ball rolling. Or should I say, to get that wallet lighter. At the end of the day, a CAI and its gains are minimal at best but it all ties in with other future performance mods.
Thanks!! So the new air tube from k&n moved the MAF sensor to the back side from the front. I’m positive in doing this i didn’t flip it in the adapter they provide. I sent it back to k&n and ordered the one that was one step up from the one i was trying to install. Will def make sure maf sensor is right on it when it comes in. Thanks a bunch for the help!

If you plan on installing other engine mods, then Uprev would be the best route. For the meantime, the ECU reset is a good way to get the engine acclimated with the CAI.

Thanks! Yep, I installed the same exact one. When plugging in the MAF sensor I tried to keep the bend in the wires the same, but the new CAI reversed the MAF sensor to the rear of the tube instead of the front like factory. I'm positive I should've flipped the MAF sensor and likely had it facing the wrong direction. New one just came in and excited to put it on today!

Sounds good. Post up a pic when you're done. And don't forget to reset the ECU once installation is complete.

Timing is key too, there’s a step in there that calls for pressing and releasing the accelerator a few times, has to be done quickly.
