I am getting a set of these without the Nissan emblem hole I will be removing the Nissan emblem. Mine will be the powder coated Black. I think these things look great. They are made by a one man operation. A guy named Dan. I will have more info on these for you soon. Here are some pictures. Let me know what you think.

I saw those on ebay as well as TT. I want to see the black with the prism effect before I buy. I really like his work since I am not a fan of the billet grills. Please let us know what kind of quality and ease of install you run into.

I will they really look good to me and different. Hate always seeing the same thing on everyones vehicle. Know what I mean. I plan on getting black powder coated steps and bed rails as well so I think it will match up good.

I installed the Speed Grille Inserts from Street Scene this weekend. A few things I found.

You need to remove the grille assembly to install the main grille inserts. Be sure to install the bumper grille insert before you re-install the grille assembly, it is MUCH easier to access the bumper grille.

Beware of the 3 plastic snap lock inserts with screw heads that help hold the grille assembly in place; they will fall back behind the frame never to be seen again.

I can't find the site from where I ordered the grille, but I paid about $125 for the main grille and $50 for the bumper grille. If anyone is interested, I can post the site name on Tuesday when I get back to work. There should be two attachments showing the finished product.

It has some metal clips that hold it on. It not as easy as the ones that zip tie over the existing grille but it's not to bad. You have to take the tip grille out and seperate the front from the back. Then it clips to the front. The bottom pretty easy, you don't have to take anything apart. I replaced the liscense plate using some drywall anchors, the kind that collapse when you tighten down the screw.

They aren't extremely thick, I suspect hitting something larger than a sparrow at 40mph may dent the center or bottom ones.

you can find the same grille on stillen.com..I believe that it came out to be $125 for the silver not the chrome one which still looks good behind the stock chrome grille. as far as installation, my body shop buddy installed it for me. after we figured out what the instructions were actually saying we got it installed but do keep an eye out for the three screws because you can easily loose them behind there. the lower grille takes some higher manipulation to install. I just had a pro shop do that for me since that actually took some time..I will be posting my armada on the website as soon as I get it washed tomorrow so you can see how it looks.

I spotted those too on eBay. Dan sent me a catalog (?) .. still gotta look through it .. w/the various colors .. I wanted to see the differences.

I like this look "preferred" over the billet horizontal/vertical look .. as it "is different" ..

So .. I'm anxiously waiting to see updated pics .. and read 'bout the install.

Can i ask what's it held on by? Is it easy to install? Is the grille thick and heavy or is it cheap and flimsy?
YOu get to tear the whole thing apart...but it's not bad!!! If any of you buy street scene...make sure you put the lower valance grill on BEFORE you put the upper grill back on the truck!! I'm not talented enough to get my hands in this thing...and I don't think anyone else is either!! LoL :2cool:
